how to fix Motor Run Caps
Several tube amplifiers use motor run caps nowadays. These high-voltage capacitors come in large cans. The one on the picture below is 150mm long and 55mm in diameter.
I do not like these monsters protruding through an amplifier top-plate, so I hide them inside the chassis. The question is how to afix them ? This is a nice approach, the two holes are holding M3 nuts, and screws are tightening the capacitor to the chassis. The cable binder slides into a dedicated channel. It is virtually unbreakable and electrically isolated.
Conceived, designed and printed on a 3D-printer by Luc, excellent job !
